There’s so much to sink your teeth into in our 2025-2026 issue!

Start with our HOMEMADE 3 wrap-up – Lily’s 3rd microbusiness product search that celebrates PNG’s most inventive small entrepreneurs who are turning bright ideas into real products. From kitchen-table start-ups to backyard tinkerers, you’ll find our judges’ standouts showcased here, including the overall winner, 2nd and 3rd in our 2025 competition, chosen from 15 finalists. You can then shop your way through the bonus Shopping Guide where you can discover (and support!) a further 40 entrants and their clever PNG-made goodies, from coconut ice cream to watermelon soap! (p48-62)

Equally close to our hearts is this issue’s call to rethink what we value: ability. In “Don’t Pity Us, Include Us”, taekwondo Paralympian Manega Tapari and other advocates share what inclusion really looks like in everyday PNG – not charity or special treatment, but access, opportunity and respect. It’s a fresh lens that challenges all of us to design schools, workplaces and communities that enable people to thrive. (p64-76).

For your beauty file, head to “Chocolate, Not Chemicals” (p38-39) for some cocoa hair hacks inspired by Julie Rereve’s homemade hair dye oil; then turn the page for a fashion spread featuring creative design force Tabu (p40-47).

There’s much more of course – inspiring personal stories, including getting to know Miss PNG May Hasola a little better as she unpacks a few of her favourite things (p26- 30); and don’t miss a moving oral history – Simona Naime’s memory of Mother Teresa’s unannounced visit to her Port Moresby home (p78–80).
